Lydia McFarlane is a rising senior at Villanova University and a newsroom intern for Education Week. She is a news editor at Villanova’s student-run newspaper, where she writes about DEI issues, multicultural organizations, and local and national politics. Prior to Education Week, she was an editorial intern at Resolve Philadelphia. Lydia is pursuing a career in journalism, in which she hopes to bring mission-driven, service and community-oriented stories to readers. She is interested in politics and often looks to investigate the ways in which politics affect different aspects of society and our personal lives.
